Downtown St. Louis, waiting on Matt. i didn't think this picture turned out very good, but some folks really like it.
Took Matt to Costco. Talk about your cathedrals,..
To commemorate Matt making his 100th conversion to "our side", i awarded him this FABulous new toaster oven. It's also a convection oven. We're still trying to figure out how to use that feature...we've already burned several things.
Wall decoration inside the Esquire Theatre in Clayton. The Esquire used to be one of the grand movie houses in St. Louis with one large auditorium and a balcony. Going to the movies was a special occassion back then. Today, it's been carved up into a multiplex, though there is still a large central auditorium.
xxfalling_outxx was commenting to me on how it's such a terrible place to see movies nowadays because the crowds are insane with all the yelling and nonsense and a staff that doesn't seem to give a damn. How right he is...that's why we never go there. We hadn't been there in years, but last week a group of the bears wanted to go see "Transformers" (review/poster
here) in there so we went along. Fortunately, the explosions on the screen drowned out the crowd.
bear_eagle was in town last week and i finally got to meet up with him on Thursday. i gave him the nickel tour of our part of town and then got him some much needed mexican food for dinner. We stopped by JJ's afterwards and there was a nice group of guys to hang out with even though darts had been canceled. Met up with
redhochipe (pictured here with us),
leatherwolf1970 and my dear
kiwi59 as well as our good friend (and non-LJ'er) Brent.
