Blue...prints?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...

The term blueprint, has become a complete misnomer.

They are neither blue... nor printed.

So, it was much to my surprise today, when I found a 3' wide roll of paper on my chair, with a sticky note asking if I had time to price this bid...

I immediately called the general contractor and asked if they had digital plans available...  And judging by his rather harsh response, I fear he may have mis-understood my request, thinking instead that I had asked for his first-born son, so that I might feast upon the child's blood and fuel the dark magic which feeds my very soul.  (Obviously, an older gentleman, slow to adapt to these modern ways.)

I debated calling the architect, but I'd be on the phone for half an hour, only to find that they couldn't release the plans without written permission from the owner and general contractor...  So I spent 15 minutes in our Printshop, feeding pages through the scanner and converting everything to PDFs.  Which, is funny because a few short years ago, we cringed when digital plans came through the door...  Now, the exact opposite is true.

Today is the monthly birthday/anniversary luncheon...  February 5th marked my 9-year anniversary here, so I can't help but look back and remark at how much has changed...  9 years...  WOW.  And thankfully...  Things seem to be on the upswing.  It's been WEEKS since anybody was walking around in constant fear of losing their job!  So...  Ya know...  Yay for that!
