I met Furp on September 9th of 2006... I saw him around before then... But that's the first time we really met. We'd gone to Perro and Wolphy's new place after softball and somehow ended up assembling IKEA crap together... He was a really great guy and we got along from day one. Even though he often lived only an hour or so away, we only seemed to see each other at cons and even then, within the context of a big group of people. After the Windy City Comic Con last year, he showed up with Seven to help me move stuff... We laughed and had a great time... With awesome people... Work always becomes fun. We vowed to make a change, to find the time to actually hang out more... fuck... *makes a call*
how do you tell someone that one of their closest friends was kileld by a drunk driver last night? apaprently you just do... and then they thank-you... for telling them... how fucked up is that?!? what else you say? *HUGZ SEVEN TIGHTLY*
I... I don't know what to say. Obviously, others knew him better than I... We were just acquaintances who hung out at parties and cons... But he deserved better than to fly around the world and spend all that time in the desert, risking his life to build an infrastructure... Only to come home and be run down by a dunk marine...
Rest in Peace my friend...
