Red Carpet Round-Up: James & Zooey Bundle Up at the Sundance Film Festival

Jan 26, 2011 14:15

James has Variety[Finding Franco]Last year, The Runaways rocked Sundance and though we don't get any Kristen or Dakota at Park City this year, we do get some James and Zooey so it's still all good. James braved the cold weather to promote Three's Company: The Drama while Zooey came out to talk about My Idiot Brother. It should be a life goal now to attend Sundance at least once.

And because it's all piled up, there are still some old photos here from other awards shows that were obviously eclipsed by the massive Golden Globe Awards coverage that we had last week. Nevertheless, enjoy the massiveness of this post. Sundance Film Festival

Photos courtesy of Finding FrancoI love how James can go all kooky in one photo and be totally serious in the next. I didn't even post half the craziness that happened at Sundance but let's just say it involved wigs and I'm sure tons of alcohol. He really does live up to his Pineapple Express character.

Raise your hand if you're excited for Your Highness. I know I am and this is just a preview of the awesomeness that'll transpire when Natalie comes along to promote it along with James and Zooey. That should be one hell of a laugh trip.

Photos courtesy of Zooey WebZooey donned a modified Marc Jacobs Resort 2011 purple silk short sleeve dress with v-front, pleated bodice and tiered skirt dress. It's been too damn long since we saw Zooey come out and of course she'd show up at Sundance -- she's like epitome of the indie kid. She also apparently attended a Golden Globes after party with hubby Ben Gibbard. I miss this girl so.

Art of Elysium Gala

Though I'm never quite clear what happens at The Art of Elysium gala, it's always nice to see the celebs come out and look pretty and this year James came along as well. And look! A mini-Spiderman reunion! James and Kirsten Dunst posed for some photos. Hey that could work yes?

Photos courtesy of L-Meester.orgLeighton rocked a 70′s-inspired Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 art deco style plunging dress with multi-coloured fringes. I love how she totally recreates herself when she's on the red carpet. She looks so sultry and sexy in this outfit. I love it.

Photos courtesy of Anna Kendrick FanHello there Anna, it's been a while. Anna knows what works for her and because of her small frame, I like how she chose a short dress that wouldn't overwhelm her. She looked really pretty in her navy satin strapless cocktail Romona Keveza Spring 2011 dress with vertically fan pleated bodice. I'm excited for her movies to come out so we can see more of her again.

Photos courtesy of Adoring Camilla BelleHaving just walked for Alberta Ferretti's fashion show, it was but natural for Camilla to show up in a nude and chocolate Alberta Ferretti dress with asymmetrical layers of feathers and a sheer skirt. I love how Camilla isn't afraid to wear something that isn't the usual. This time it works. Later on, it won't so much.

Photos courtesy of Miss BilsonAnother girl I haven't seen quite as often as I'd like, R-Bils was at the gala too in a peach Zac Posen gown. I love her street style and her red carpet one as well. If only I were as skinny as her, I could totally make her my peg for all outfits. Let's go dwindle down to her weight please.

Premieres & Events

Photos courtesy of Mr. HedlundWell hello there handsome. Don't I wish the Country Strong promotion could go on forever? Unfortunately, it can't. But there's still some Tron: Legacy love from foreign countries and so we see Garrett trek to Germany to promote the movie. And co-star, I know you guys are close, but let the guy have one solo shot without hugging/hogging him please? Jealous girl, talking here.

Despite the shifty nature of this movie, Leighton still went all out for the premiere of the movie. She came wearing a black chiffon jersey Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2011 dress with a leather cut out bodice. HOLY SMOKES. Girl is on fire and looks fantastic in this outfit. I love the confidence and the cut-outs and just wow.

I suppose her movie, From Prada to Nada has Camilla popping up even more than usual and for the Warner Brothers/In Style Golden Globes After Party, Camilla looked stunning wearing a metallic silver jersey Giorgio Armani gown with a plunging neckline and strong cap sleeve shoulders. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for her actual premiere outfit. She showed up in a Jason Wu Spring 2011 ensemble of black tuxedo with a nude ruffled bandeau. Let's give her props for being different but I just can't do bare midriffs anymore. Sorry girl.

Photos courtesy of Jen Garner NetMommy Jen looks so motherly showing up at this event for kids. I love how wholesome and natural she looks in the kitchen. I can totally see her teaching Violet and Seraphina around the kitchen. So pretty.

Awards Shows

Photos courtesy of Rooney Mara SourceThough I'm not sure who made Rooney's dress for the W's Golden Globes party (also celebrating her cover, I suppose), it looks like a Lanvin for H&M one-shouldered ruffled dress that seems to be pretty popular. I love that she's rocking the nose ring and the haircut, which is no easy feat. I am too excited for the movie.

Photos courtesy of Jon Hamm SourceRaise your hand if you want to be Kiernan Shipka right now. How cute was this father-daughter duo?! I feel Sally's going to go all bonkers in the next season but right at this moment, I love this moment between Jon and her. So cute.

Photos courtesy of Adoring Natalie PortmanBefore looking gorgeous at the Globes, Natalie made the rounds of the other award giving bodies and at the AFI Awards, she looked really cute in her modified cobalt satin pleated crewneck Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2011 shift dress. Girl could be wearing a sack at this point and she'd still glow for me. Love it.

Meanwhile at the Critics Choice, Natalie floored me with her black and white one-shoulder Gianfranco Ferré maxi-dress. I'm biased, I know, but I really really love her pregnancy style. Not only is she glowing from the carrying-the-baby bit, but her fashion is really complementing it. I love this dress especially.

Photos courtesy of Andrew Garfield FanAndrew took girlfriend Shannon Woodward along too and I really do find this coupling cute. Andrew looked dapper as always. Though he was obviously snubbed at the Oscars, I'm hoping he's there to present or support the rest of the TSN team. I want him at the Oscars.

Photos courtesy of Emma Stone WebI love that Emma won a Critics' Choice. Sure, the Golden Globes were kind of a stretch but here, she got her recognition and she looked stunning too in a shimmering Balenciaga silver dress with a gold halter chain around her neck. This definitely looked good on her without washing her out. Plus it was cute to see her reunited with Zombieland co-star, Jesse Eisenberg (hello there Oscar nominee)

Supportive wife is supportive and despite the complete Oscar snubbery for The Town, I love how sweet and adorable Jen and Ben looked at the Critics Choice. I didn't see red-carpet shots of them, but these audience photos look really adorable. Even more adorable? Jen/Mark reunion! I miss 13 Going on 30. More of that kind please.

Jealous of Jennifer Lawrence's Oscar nomination? No, of course not. jealous she got a photo with Jon Hamm at the Critics Choice? OF COURSE. Jon should come out all the time just so we see more of his manly man-ness. I approve of him in suits completely.

Photos courtesy of Ryan Gosling FanThough her Golden Globes dress was a hit-or-miss for most, I thought her Critics Choice dress was pretty great. She looked positively ethereal in her vintage-inspired Balenciaga floor length gown with a rise and fall hem and embroidered floral details. Girl always dresses to suit her and she just looked divine. I love it. Meanwhile, Blue Valentine co-star Ryan was dapper as always and looking snazzy in his jacket. Velvet at the Globes and this printed one to this one? Love that he's mixing it up.

Finally, Andrew came by the BAFTA Tea Party (Them Brits got to represent) with Shannon and he looked casually cool. I love how relaxed he just looked and how it didn't have any pressure at all. I know we've seen a ton of Andrew lately but I really don't mind this influx of him. More please?

Photos courtesy of Eddie Redmayne OnlineJoining Andrew at the BAFTA Tea Party (though no photos together), we have Eddie looking lost and cute at the same time. I should definitely get to watching Pillars of the Earth just because I'm in need of an Eddie fix. I'm hoping his My Week with Marilyn stint will have us seeing more of him this time around.

Anything I missed? Which red carpet appearance had you most excited this time around? Next stop, Screen Actors Guild Awards and then of course, the Academy Awards. Whew. Awards season gets tiring yes? And i didn't even attend any. Oh the life of a fangirl.
