I couldn't decide[
Zimbio]If it weren't for Vulture's highly entertaining
Golden Globes Live Blog, I would have gone crazy waiting till I could get off work to find out who won in this year's 68th Golden Globe Awards. It was a pretty awesome show, despite what everyone may have thought of host Ricky Gervais --
I thought he was hilarious. And though I was excited to see the
red-carpet fashion and the
awards being given out, you know I was there for the eye candy too.
And boy did the men come out. From the usual suspects to some new handsome faces for me to fantasize over, the men came out in full force. I am not complaining at all.

Adoring Natalie PortmanIt would be an understatement to say how happy I am for Natalie. I'm sure Nicole Kidman had a great performance but I was really rooting for Natalie, so this made me very happy. We'll have to see how the Academy votes though. With Annette Benning safely nominated in another category -- and winning it! -- we'll see how the Oscars turn out after this win for both of them. I'm thinking she was a little drunk when it was time to give her speech cause she was giggling like a little girl when she thanked fiance, Benjamin Millepied. Either way, I thought she was adorable.

Adoring Natalie PortmanAnd how cute was it that her whole family was in attendance, from her parents, to the fiance, they all just looked really happy for her. Even when she changed to her after-party garb, Natalie was glowing. Seriously, MOST BEAUTIFUL PREGNANT LADY EVER.

Andrew Garfield FanAnd from beautiful, we go to some handsome. Though I wasn't expecting a win for Andrew, you know I'm just glad to see his handsome mug everywhere I look. Like literally, everywhere. When he stumbled over the word 'inspiringly' (which comes out as a misspelled word) and when Jesse Eisenberg pulled him up from his seat to go up the stage, Andrew just exuded adorableness. Cutest part? Photo ops with Rob of course! So glad to see these friends reunited. Look at them, so big in Hollywood already.
Photos courtesy of
Robert Pattinson FanYou do know that I would have put Rob first and just focused on him, but this is me trying to be more well-rounded you know? So yeah, Rob was there to present with the gorgeous Olivia Wilde and though he spoke around 3 words during the actual presentation, he did get a lot of words out during the red carpet interviews.
You are good for something, MTV. Getting two of my other loves (
Garrett &
Jake) to talk about Rob too? Perfection. Rob looked oh so dapper in his custom-made blue Gucci suit. That's how to suit up boys.
Photos courtesy of
IHeartJakeThe original love of my life, Jake was nominated for best actor in a motion picture comedy or musical for Love and Other Drugs and though we all knew THAT wasn't happening at all, it was so lovely to see him get all suited up for the event. Bringing ex-girlfriend Jenny Lewis as his date (I believe this is a friendly thing), Jake and his beard rocked a Burberry tuxedo. And I know we got a lot of Anne/Jake during the Love and Other Drugs promotional tour, but I would have killed for a photo of them at the Golden Globes together. For real. I'm sad it didn't' happen.

Finding FrancoI have yet to see 127 Hours, but based on what I've heard, I should be in for a pretty intense film. Meanwhile, on the red carpet, James is anything but intense, striking poses and just having a ball -- and looking dapper in his Gucci tux. Boy cleans up well. I wonder how nervous he and Anne are for the Oscars, with them hosting it. I'm really hoping they do well.
Photos courtesy of
Ryan Gosling FanStanding out from the other tux-wearers, Ryan rocks a velvet Ferragamo tuxedo. I'm thinking this has the feel of a snuggie? It doesn't matter though, he looks suave as hell. I love the after party photos of him laughing his heart out with Olivia Wilde. Raise your hand if you miss McGosling. Yeah I know, I do too. Rachel, do you hear us? Get back together please.

Jon Hamm SourceDo you know how hard it is to find a photo of Jon without his girlfriend? I know I should have just given and in posted one with her, but I'd like to pretend she doesn't exist in my world. So here we are instead. I'm sure Steve Buscemi deserved that award but I do feel bad that Don Draper didn't get recognized yet again. Oh well, we have the Emmy's for that.
Photos courtesy of
Anne Hathaway FanHOW DROP DEAD GORGEOUS IS THIS WOMAN?! I tell you, everytime I see her, I fall harder. It's crazy how flawless she looks -- from the hair to the make-up, to the gown and just everything. And of course I knew Annette Benning was winning this award so I wasn't even hoping for Anne but she just looked so happy to be there with her boyfriend Adam even when Robert Downey Jr. was doing his spiel, her smile was just huge. I also love that she's getting her
Glee-casting-wish. You know I'm excited for that.
Photos courtesy of
Emma Stone WebAnother girl who obviously wasn't going to win anything just because Annette Benning exists was Emma, rocking the blonde hair and all. That wink she and RDJ shared was so adorable. Girl needs to be in a movie with him stat. Though I still prefer red-head Emma, this blonde hair is growing on me. I'm glad we got at least one Andrew/Emma photo together. They're going to be so cute. Hello worldwide promotions for this. I AM VERY VERY EXCITED.
Photos courtesy of
L-Meester.orgThank goodness for Country Strong because not only do we get a Leighton appearance at the Golden Globes -- WE GET A LEIGHTON/GARRETT presentation! SERIOUSLY. I died. They are too cute for words. I love how smiley and giggly she was at the after party and just how stunning she was without going the usual awards-show-look route. I can't help but ship these two.

Mr. HedlundFrom the moment he got into the red carpet, I swear I was swooning.
I love how he was trying not to say anything about Rob in the interview with MTV. Man is smooth and making me very very excited for On The Road. When he and Leighton went onstage and started reading out those nominees, I didn't think I would find it incredibly sexy but I did. I'm lame like that okay?! Those after party shots together? tame but I'm pleased.
Photos courtesy of
Joseph Gordon-LevittBecause Leo ain't representing, we get Joseph instead (and you know I'm still happy with that) introducing the film and asking for cheers for Christopher Nolan. How adorable is this boy?! If only Zooey would appear next to him, then we'd get a (500) Days of Summer redux -- that's always A+ in my book. And though I'm sad Inception didn't get the recognition it deserved, I'm happy with this JGL appearance already. I hope he's okay now after his brother's passing.

ZEfron.comAnd finally, Zac 'my-hair-is-short' Efron rocked a Calvin Klein suit while introducing The Kids are Alright. Not sure what his connection is to the movie, but any reason for him to show up an awards show i A-ok in my book. I wonder what table he was seated at. Come to think of it, Rob was seated at Helen Mirren's table and I think I saw snippets of Zac talking to Eva Longoria at her table. HOW DO THEY GET ASSIGNED TO THESE TABLES?!

VultureAnd just because there can never be enough boys, here are even more boys that I just happened to stop and look at for a bit. I couldn't find a solo photo of Armie Hammer, but Jesse Eisenberg had one, so in he goes. He looked oh so very somber during the awards and I just wish we'd seen him talk. I get that Aaron Sorkin, Scott Rudin and David Fincher do enough talking for everyone but I wouldn't mind a Jesse-speech.
Johnny Depp had really
good reaction shots too. He didn't look too miffed with all of Ricky's ribs towards The Tourist and just looked honor to be there and nominated twice at that -- which meant he lost twice as well. The Glee boys were complete and in full support of Chris Colfer's win. I have to say, really good speech. Just the right amount of genuine shock and happiness.

Calvin Klein Collection floor-length cap sleeve backless gown. Angelina Jolie: long sleeved light emerald green
Atelier Versace gown with an open at the back.
Backless was on trend at the Globes. Anne's gown was just divine. I literally wish I could be her and where that dress. The simplicity of Emma's dress showcases how awesome her body is. Girl looks amazing in her dress, though a little washed out with the blonde hair. Still, I love it.

Though Olivia technically isn't in black, I've lumped her in here too with the black ain't boring gang. Jennifer's detailed dress is divine and who knew a mullet style dress could be so fab. I love Piper's dress as well. It's nothing extremely fancy but I love the bow in the shoulder.

Though it reminds me of Christmas, these girls sure rock the holiday's festive colors. I love Mila's serpentine train and Elisabeth's super flattering cut. Meanwhile Christina continues to wow and dress for her body, keeping the girls in check but still featuring her assets.

Blue and white always remind me of the sea and these ladies looked so elegant in their blues and whites. I especially love Mandy's detail on the top and Hailee's super age appropriate look. And of course Tilda. Only you could pull off wearing this.

I really love nude just because it's so damn versatile. These girls have looks from demure to sexy to bohemian. It's good they don't look too washed out by the color either. I love Leighton's long sleeves and the skirt of Diana's gown. Just lovely.

The other big color of the night? Pink! Whether it bubblegum or bright pink or pale pink, the stars came out in droves wearing this girly-girl color. And really, who knew pink could come in so many different shades. I love it.
Over-all, a pretty fantastic show despite all the complaints from everyone. I thought it was hilariously hosted and the people looked good plus the people I wanted to win, won. So all in all, it was definitely a win-win for me. See you at the Oscars!
