I've gotten out of the habit of using this site but will try to get back in the swing of things, I can't always wait until I have something worth saying because then I would never post.
Am playing Saturday night in a basketball game against members of the Cincinnati Bengals, and yes I know they are a football team. I don't know how many people have told me that. It's something they do during the offseason for fundraisers.
I write for a Tipp City newspaper, and the game is raising funds for the high school baseball team and I get to play against them. It's kind of funny, a football team playing basketball for a baseball team.
I'm looking forward to it because I remember as a kid going to watch their basketball games and now instead of from the stands I'll be participating in the action. Though with my lack of basketball skills and poor physical condition I don't know if you'll be able to call my part playing.
i'm disappointed though because it's kind of a big deal to me, my moment to shine a little in the public and am not getting much support. An aunt of mine is having her 80th birthday party so all my relatives are going to that, including my parents and brother, and my friends from my small group aren't coming either. We met last night and it was hardly even brought up, nobody seems to care.
I'm going to have fun anyway though and they will just be sorry they missed it, especially if I make a basket.
