I got to see Casa Bardicci for the first time ever. Not only did I get to go to an evening party, thanks to loosecanon, I got into the Hoity-Toity party! There are a lot of wonderful things about the baronial gig, but I have to say one of my absolute most favorite parts is this whole "Patron of the Arts" deal. LOVE.

I'm just going to be a horrible tease for now until we get details hammered out, but I think we might have something cool happening at Yule! Woooo!

I still think it was a good idea to make a grand entrance the other night by presenting the youth fighters with largesse as thanks for defending the canton. Hoo boy, was that a crazy busy event! The L.C. and I were on the go pretty much every minute from 10am to 10pm, along with just about everyone else involved. We spent the morning in order meetings and greeting as many people as we could; then the L.C. went to talk to the fighters and brewers and I went to help judge the arts and sciences ( Read more... )

Short version: Any event involving catapults, fish in cameline sauce, live music, BPAL, the Greatest Commedia dell'Arte Troupe in the Known World, and lavender fleur de sel caramels is a GOOD EVENT in my book. :)
