Yeah, I made the L.C. watch ballroom dance on tv last night
Tomasz Mielnicki and J.T. Damalas at the America's Ballroom Challenge on PBS last night sent me into a big-eyed trance of pretty pretty princess squee-erifficness the likes of which I have not entered for quite some time. Their waltzing! So gorgeous! Swirly! Elegant! And her dress! With the coppery and the silky and the fluttery and the tiger lily in her hair!!! Eeeeeeeee!
AND THEN THEIR SHOW DANCE WAS GOTH BALLROOM DANCING! To "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" by Roisin Murphy! (oh, admit it, half the time you can't tell the difference between electronica and goth music anyway!) It's not the best picture really, but look at her in her corset dress and pointy black leather boots!!! I can't find video anywhere (or pictures of their first-round costumes, darn it), but they pulled off the most fabulous aggressively pouty attitude and gestures -- it was perfect!
They were spectacularly robbed as far as judging went, but I think I may be in love with this couple anyway. Look how many exclamation marks they made me use!
