Today was an ordinary day: I cycled to and from work and walked from my office to another building nearby for a meeting. Here are some scenes from that ordinary day:
The shark stuck in the roof is an unusual "decoration." I especially like the sun over the fields. As the days shorten, the shadows lengthen and give beautiful affects to the fields.
It worries me that the light is that far gone and you are out riding your bike by the river. But the reflections were good.
I hadn't thought of the shark as a decoration but - you're right: it could be!
The light was lovely and a reward for needing to work late. Don't worry about the dark: I carry lights for the darkness so I won't fall into the water - it would take a lot of whisky to get me that way!
Soon it will be dark both ends of the day for my journey so I'll be using lights most of the time. You know how much I like winter!
I pass this shark so often that I forget how odd it looks! There is quite often a clump of tourists with their cameras taking a shot of it. The house belongs or belonged to a local radio journalist (originally from Canada or somewhere, I think) and he had the shark installed (er - if you "install" sharks) for what reason I know not!
Do you know - I never thought of the shark like that but it does look like a big, fishy thunderbolt now that you mention it!
Y, the summer is leaving with some grace but I hate the darker days and the cold temperatures. No wonder so much of our wildlife hibernates! The hedgerows are filled with nuts and berries so the birds and animals are busy feeding themselves into fatness to survive the winter. Meanwhile, I marshal my army of hats, gloves and scarves!
That's a great shark! I love how someone felt it was necessary to put up a sign warning of changed traffic conditions and not of giant falling predatory fish.
The positioning of the sign is very funny. It always makes me wonder if there is an even bigger fish lying in the road ahead that the public must steer round as part of the "new road layout"!
The shark was installed in 1986 so he's quite a veteran landmark these days.

The sunlight was beautiful but without any warmth. Oh, that dreadful "A" word! *tries to pull Summer back onto the stage*
