after all this time and all I've worked for, men get in my way. Always men.

You know, I'm sitting here, watching Camelot and trying to write a post about just what it is that's missing for Camelot to be (have been) a great show, but then I realized what the true problem ACTUALLY is: no fic ( Read more... )

Generally, what happens is the people who watched the series while it was actually airing hang out together for a while, and then just after Yuletide, it breaks wide with all those people who ignored us while we were geeking about it while it actually aired. Generally, this only happens if two of the lads are slashable. And since EVERYONE in this cast is RIDICULOUS PRETTEH and ahs chemistry with everyone else, i think probably this is inevitable.

(Okay, so that was my experience with Merlin pretty much EXACTLY.)

All hope is not lost, then! Maybe someday I will get my Merlin/Morgan! MAYBE FOR CHRISTMAS!

There are so many stories to tell here! Now that I've thought about it, I want it so much!

I am so all about Merlin/Igraine, it's not even funny. I also think Leontes, Guinivere and Arthur should have solved all their issues with a threesome. And how much do I want Kay to get a fabulous (possibly sword-wielding) ladyfriend?

Also, Gawain IS LOVE. I can't believe that is Archer from the rubbish BBC Robin Hood.

Oh, I am all for Merlin/Igraine too. I was loving what the show was doing there, and how she was slowly making him willing to show more of himself (and loved what we were getting to see -- this version of Merlin left me cold at first, but by the end I loved him). But Merlin/Morgan is fascinating to me, how she rarely shows weakness yet does not hide her interest in him, which had to do with the magic but is also strangely electra-ny and I wish there was more of that, but going deeper than the show could. I would happily read about any of these characters, though, which I guess means finishing the season did succeed in making me love everyone.

His face is THE BEST FACE. I, on the other hand, couldn't believe I hadn't recognized Ross from Doctor Who, who I remember loving based only on his ten minutes of screen time!

YES HE WAS. And still is! He can bring adorableness even to a medieval knight slashing people left and right with a sword in each hand.
