Gratuitous Salad Days reference there. Marvellous.
I'm in a very good mood today, which is great because I hate being down in the dumps for no reason - I hadn't been like that in at least a year until about tuesday, but I feel a lot better now. I still miss people though - not just specific people, just PEOPLE in general. It's very lonely in Cwmgiedd.
Still, I'm having a productive day - I've more or less finished the most problematic section of my dissertation (I've just got about five hundred words to write at the end which will hopefully tie the whole thing up), so now I can get down to researching and writing the main part of it (the bit that, you know, actually talks about books rather than waffling on about what the gothic genre may or may not be). I've also edited and timed my conference paper on the London Underground at the fin de seicle - and it's almost exactly a quarter of an hour, which is ideal. So that's good.
Also, finally got hold of my old music teacher, who should be ringing me back soon, so I'll hopefully know where I stand with the choir for my musical (or at least, that part of the choir - my options are wider than they were last time I was at this stage). Also, I think I've sorted out the forty pounds I'm owed for accompanying another choir last week. So all good. I still have fuck all money, but it doesn't look like becoming a problem in the near future.
