Yesterday morning I spilled tea all over my laptop. It was awful!
Luckily I was able to back up all my files before my computer went off the deep end. To be more precise, I think the finishing of the back up caused the computer to reboot (I'm not sure what else would have done it), and after that every time the computer would try to start back up again it would just go to a media player. Before the computer had rebooted, I noticed that it seemed like
certain keys were being read as being pushed down, because whenever I tried to type I was apparently putting in hotkey codes (hitting "H" would pop up my browser history, that sort of thing).

I feel very fortunate that my dad let me charge a new laptop to him. I got the cheapest one I could find, but it runs like a dream compared to my old one!
I'm going to be much more careful with this one - I'll hardly save anything on it, I think, and use my external hard drive for most of that, and I'll keep my drinks far away, haha.

Besides the stress of yesterday, I've been feeling well. The semester is about to reach its fever pitch (two and a half weeks until Thanksgiving, and then only two weeks until the end of the semester!) so I'm going to try and spend some free time studying - but I'm working every day this week from tomorrow on.

I was very happy with the results of the French test I took on Thursday - a B! Latin hasn't been going so well, but I'm determined to make a good grade on an upcoming quiz. I was going to do an extra-credit research product, but my partner dropped out last week! I don't really have time to research her part and write that up too, at least not in time to make the due date... You see, I'd do a research project on my own, but the professor wants it to be 20 pages long! I wish my partner hadn't dropped out - it was only an extra credit project, so it wouldn't have hurt her grade in any way.

I like the moment, at the end of this movie, where Cpt. Crewe recovers his memory and rescues Sara from arrest, with Ms. Minchin skulking away. It reminds me of one of the final scenes in Cinderella, where she pulls out the other slipper.

I wonder if they modeled Ms. Minchin after the Evil Stepmother?

I've also been enjoying this website which is full of books and speeches!

Getting ready for this move has got me thinking about all the household goods I want! Mostly because things just seem to evaporate over time... I personally do not think you can have too many bath towels, hand towels, bed linens, pillows, candles, or any number of things (but especially the first three). I need to find the Charming Household Goods Warehouse.

I hope everyone is doing well!
