How was everyone's week? I ended up having a pretty good one - I received this cute poem in my tumblr inbox; I was very sore from yoga, but it only encouraged me to keep it at it; I took a wrong turn on the toll road going to ballet after a frustrating morning, but I didn't skip class like I was very tempted to do, and I went shopping with a friend on Friday and bought some cute stuff from Forever 21, as seen above! I've also had a ridiculous amount of cake this weekend, between buying a strawberry cupcake from a local cupcakery on Saturday, and there being lots of celebrations going on at work, and lots of leftovers! So I'm pretty blissed out on all the cakey delight

Just trying to model my ginormous ring... I'm not much for creative posing, but I think you get the idea!

Here are a few things I've been digging lately:

itami_kitsune posted this to her tumblr, which got me to watching it again! Mononoke has been one of my favorite shows since I saw it during its run in 2007, but I haven't rewatched it since. It's so amazing you guys, you should check it out - especially if you appreciate unusual and surreal artistic elements, or very stylized shows, or suspense or horror. It's not very gorey iirc, but it does deal with these sort of monster-spirits/angry ghosts, so there are some violent elements and themes. The show itself is sort of disjointed, consisting of two to three episode story arcs that are self contained, so you can sort of pick it up and put it down as you need to.

I can't believe this girl is only 9 years old! I love her attitude and the message of the song.

This crazy song I don't know how embed and that I'd love to know the origin of!

This short and sweet video clip... I like the dreamlike quality.

It's already over half way through the semester... I really need to crack down on writing my papers and studying!
I can't believe how fast it's going - then again fall semester always goes by really fast I think, and spring semester just crawls by... I'm really looking forward to Halloween, to going to brunch with Curtis (Chinese brunch!?) and to having Friday and Saturday off (very unusual if you don't request them specifically!). Of course having those two days off means I'm going to be working during the week, so I need to rest!
