We never learn from other people's experience. We always have to figure everything out on our own.
What use is it to give advice, to try to teach somebody, - even if you've been asked for it directly? People have heard everything you can tell them so many times the words don't actually mean anything to them anymore.
So you just end up stating the obvious - with the other end ignoring it completely.
They'll probably get it someday. And start repeating the exact same words. Now seeing them from some sort of different perspective.
Or maybe there's just a way of saying things, and you can break through if you're good enough, I dunno.
