Downfall of Final Fantasy?

Hello again, everyone! I'm the one who posted about sexism in video game media a while back. Thanks again to everyone who responded.

I really enjoy the things people here have to say, so I'm wondering if anyone would like to discuss one of my favorite series, Final Fantasy. This may be an overdone discussion, but I haven't really gotten the chance ( Read more... )

14 online killed it for me. I'm so angry and so annoyed with how SE handled and is handling that situation that it taints everything they are doing for me.

=/

I think that SE see's FF as a "sure thing" and they can kind of do whatever they want and it doesn't matter what people are saying. I hope they wake up

XIV is kinda a fiasco. It was probably released a year too early IMO ( ... )

Wow... what were they thinking? random EXP? Between that and FF13 I'm wondering who the hell is making decisions there and have they ever played video games.

Yeah It really sucked if you were attempting to be a healer. Your "tank" would get all this XP and you'd be like.. wtf?

It didn't help that as the beta was ending SE came out and said they would address "all" the issues and in the end they really only fixed the hardware mouse issue.

Everyone that paid for the collectors edition got and extra week with the game, but it was so broken it wasn't worth it. I was one of those people and it's REALLY ruined my opinion of all things SE.

The whole PC release really felt like it was just and extended beta for the PS3 release. AND their attempts to make the players happy are a joke. Why would I want free playtime on an unplayable game. I want my $80 back.

Ugh, I heard about the mess that was FFXIV

I know what you mean about SE thinking FF is a sure thing, and I really hope like you that their recent problems makes them change their view on their games... But it sound's like they're interested in going further down that XIII route with XIII-2 (if the originals were so good themselves, why do they need sequels?)
