i love the human brain. i just spent 3 hours reading an anatomy text book i got from the mormon hand down store about it.
facinating. much i knew. much i did not.
i did a lot of wiki searching and finally found out what the hell theta waves are (i heard mention of them on 'house'.)
it's funny how this all works. i think there are three parts to my take on the entire existance issue.
1. the spiritual, cultural, instinctive, wonerfully fun part. my soul. the part that matters to 'me'.
2. the rational objective. atheist sort of. understands the non-subjective. actually disbelieves in free will and a real point to...well...anything.
3. the rational abstract. deist. treats our existance as what it is...a process in something much more complicated. not 'greater'....or even near human reality based. sees humanity as just another link in the grand evolution of complexity. and honestly wonders if computer routines have existances of their own. very upset because the abstract is very difficult to communicate.....and his communication skills are not that great.
it's good to have a balance of all three.
but for now....fuck it. go iowa!
