Ayn Rand
it was this video that made me go back and do a little research into this "ayn rand" lady.....
And....i've heard nothing but bad about her. but....i don't disagree with her. but i can't help but do so. rationality is very important.....but so is irrationality. at least for my "flawed" self. I think the true meaning in life lay in the irrational. even if life IS meaningless, it has meaning within us. And i don't think it's wrong to indulge in your irrationality. It's what you do with it that screws things up. You need a good balance.
I can't disagree with her philosophy so far....but i VERY MUCH SO can disagree with her totally free market economy. companies will not adapt unless they have no other options. and by which point, it's kind of too late. not to mention the human element just doesn't affect them the same way.
