Figured I'd start this up again
This is something I haven't done in a while... Which makes me sad since it would have been nice to have some kind of comparison from years prior. But eh. So I'm going to start doing this again [hopefully I'll remember].
1. What did you do in 2012 that you'd never done before?
Bought a car, went to a convention [Salute to Supernatural Con, and Connecticon], enjoyed my job
2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
My New Years' Resolution was to focus on me, and do things that make me happy. I think I kept to it pretty well. I have one of my dream cars, and a loving man, and an awesome family.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not anyone close, but acquaintances yes.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thankfully.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.
6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
A place I can call home with my boyfriend and my two cats.
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
A few dates.. One of the biggest being the day I started dating Jason, the day I bought my car, the day I got a photo op and autograph from Misha Collins, and the day my mom sold her house [the house I spent the most years growing up in].
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Buying my dream car.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Hmm. Asking my mom for money...
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Some colds, and thus bronchitis twice.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My car... I'm seeing a trend here... But also my Castiel poster that I digitally painted and had signed by Misha Collins.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Jason's. Seriously, that man is like a gift from the gods to me. He's helped me so much and he's been so supportive and caring and loving.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Andrea's. My ex. Still the same old shit, and drama. Not to mention continuing to be irresponsible and blaming others for it.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Bills and gas.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Supernatural Con, getting my poster signed by Misha Collins [and a photo op with him!], my car, my boyfriend
16. What song will always remind you of 2012?
Hmm.. Not sure really. I think perhaps "Dirty Paws" by Of Monsters and Men, or "I Will Wait" by Mumford and Sons
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
I'm happier, and more comfortable with myself.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Gaming...
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Sleeping on the couch.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
My boyfriend and I are going to be at my sister's and having my family's traditional soup.
21. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
I have no clue. Probably with Jay if I'm not working stupid hours.
22. Did you fall in love in 2012?
Yes! And it's amazingly perfect.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Supernatural, Once Upon a Time, Merlin.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Yes. But that's none of anyone's concern.
26. What was the best book you read?
I don't read books much, unfortunately.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I discovered Lindsey Stirling, Blackmill, and Florence + The Machine
28. What did you want and get?
Love. And Subaru Baja Turbo.
29. What did you want and not get?
A place my boyfriend and I could live together in.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Oh man.. that's tough... Brave, The Hobbit, Rise of the Guardians, there's just so many good films!
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Uh. I turned 24, and my family got me this large case of cupcakes with the most amazing blue/purple colored frosting ever. And I think my mom took me to dinner, I can't remember since it was all the way back in January.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Having more control over my finances, not sleeping on a couch, and having a place that I could call my home.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?
More geeky than years past, simply because I'm in my work clothes more than I am in other clothes. A close second is pajamas or naked... lol
34. What kept you sane?
JASON. I CANNOT say this enough. He's been there for me as much as my family has been, and in some cases more so. I can't thank him enough for all he's done for me. Jay supported me through some of the tougher portions of this year, even though he didn't have to. I love him so much.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Misha Collins.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Legitimate rape
37. Who did you miss?
My best bro, Mikey. Simply because we didn't see each other at all this year... And that makes me sad.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Um. I met a lot of awesome new people.. But I'm going to cheat a little and say Jay since we got reacquainted after not seeing/talking to each other for years, and even then we had only hung out a couple times when we did first meet.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2012:
I've learned quite a bit this year. One of the biggest? That Andrea really messed me up, but it allowed me to grow and mature. Had it not been for her, I wouldn't be the same person I am today. I've found a new strength and confidence that I lacked, and it's allowed me to rise up and become a better, and happier, person. I learned that you need to look out for yourself before you can look out for others.
