Generally, as a public servant, and a moral human being, I frown on that.
Yet you guys all see the 'but' coming right?
There are some circumstances you just can't predict, and where you have to go with your morals and staying as close to the law as you can, but you can't always play it letter-perfect. Pains me to say it, but I know it from experience. I'm pretty sure there's a technical rule against interns being allowed out at crime scenes with detectives, but Brenda bends it anyway, and I'm a much better man for it. I know there's a law against bringing uninformed civilians into MI5 business, but Kevin did it anyway and we helped him do the right thing for his country. Not to mention, introduced him to Tara, whom he's still got a thing for, but I don't interfere in my best friend's love life.
I stay to the law as close as I can, but if there's a law that goes against my morals? I can't stay with it. I just try to do the best, most right thing I can, something I can live with at the end of the day. Hopefully, those two things agree.
