Just booked my annual trip to visit Nova Scotia and The-Con-Formerly-Known-As-Furfright-But-Now-Has-A-Name-That's-Harder-To-Spell...
WIll be spending a nice 10 days 'back home' and will be at Furpocalypse from the Thursday-Monday.

Last Thursday I finalized things at the bank, which was kind of 'fun'. They were very flexible with regards to how much I want to pay and all that good stuff and even though interest rates are going up a little bit, it's still nearly 2% cheaper than the mortgage on the condo and it's locked in for 5 years. Had an amazing time back in Nova Scotia. Made it through the annual 'should I move back?' thoughts I always have.
This year, I drove down to Connecticut on Wednesday and am staying for a night in the area, thanks to a generous offer of a place to crash from Wally Wabbit. It will be so nice to arrive at a con after only a 30 minute drive instead of ( Read more... )

My flight leaves in two hours for Nova Scotia and I am very much looking forward to seeing The Shire again (Pippin).
After I visit there for 10 days (while working in the local office) I'll be driving down to Furfright. Looking forward to seeing all of you again too (at Da Soady Deer Camp).

Today began my second autumn of the year. I love this season so much that it's a big reason I chose to visit New Zealand in April and have two autumns this year. ^_^ I just realized that there are only three weeks to go until my annual Trip Back Home™ to Nova Scotia. Heading east today for my annual Nova Scotia/Furfright trip. Looking forward to both very much. :)

Another trip, another LJ entry. :) I'm leaving shortly for the airport to catch the redeye to Nova Scotia to visit friends and the remaining family members. Had a great time visiting NS and Furfright, with no major travel difficulties. Had a good laugh at US customs in Maine when the inspector looked in the trunk and said "what the heck is this?" "That would be a dog costume for a halloween party. Think I'll win the contest?" She laughed and said I would for sure. Was so nice to see some good friends ( Read more... )

I had a great time visiting Nova Scotia, especially having no dealings with lawyers or funeral homes this time around.  Tomorrow morning, I set off on the 12 hour drive to Furfright, and I can't wait to see the friends who will be there. :) After the con, I have an 8 hour drive to Toronto and I'm flying back to Calgary from there. I'm just doing my last little bit of packing for my red-eye flight to Halifax tonight. Going to visit 'back home' for a couple weeks and work in the local office, and then I'll be driving to Furfright from there. A 12-hour drive through New England in autumn... there are far worse things. :)
