I'm trying to be less phobic and I'm afraid it's not going well.

I'm home from Vegas and it was fantastic and wonderful and HOT (seriously, like walking around in a sauna), and I hate that I'm back at work instead of having fun and relaxing. I had so much fun with EB, and didn't manage to lose the shirt off my back (actually ended up $92 ahead), but I'll go into more details about Vegas and post pictures when I don't have more pressing things to talk about. And I have some time. So maybe tomorrow, or maybe never. Hah.

So what's more important? Okay, first... I GOT MY HAIR CUT. And HOLY CRAP IT'S SHORT. I've never had it this short before. Or gotten this much cut from it... she cut off like a foot!

BEFORE:

AND AFTER:

(Please excuse the crappy Photo Booth picture.) So yeah, it's way shorter than I thought it would be, and at first I was horrified but now I actually think I kind of love it. This might change though after I go to style it tomorrow morning and fail miserably. See, she divided my hair into two pony tails to cut it (for Locks of Love) and she said that 10 inches would probably fall somewhere around my collar bone (which was more than fine with me, I was willing to go even shorter, but I figured we could always trim more to even it out) and the first pony tail she cut was about that length. So I don't know what happened with the second one but it wound up WAY shorter, so hence my hair is now a couple inches shorter than I wanted it because she had to even it out. When she first styled it, she tried to make it all straight and stuff, but it looked horrible, so she put some curls in (which have since fallen out, which is why I think I should get a body wave) and that made it much cuter. I'm hoping I can somewhat duplicate it tomorrow morning. I went to Target immediately after and bought hairspray, a curling iron (shut up I didn't own one), a new hair dryer with a diffuser (aren't they supposed to be good for waves?), mousse, and headbands (for the gym as my hair is nowhere close to pony tail length). I called
foreverseenstar immediately after and she was like, "Is it still past your shoulders?" and I laughed hysterically, "We are light years away from past my shoulders." But yeah, I think I like it now. I'm not sure if it's actually growing on me, or if that's some sort of self-preservation technique, but time will tell. I'm anxious to see what EB and my coworkers say tomorrow and everyone else this weekend!

Also, other big news: I GOT BOOTLEGS OF STARK RAVING MAD ON DVD!!!! I am SO EXCITED and all of you are probably like, WTF are you talking about?? Stark Raving Mad was a 1999 NBC sitcom staring Tony Shalhoub as an eccentric horror novelist and Neil Patrick Harris as his nervous, hyperphobic editor. I was absolutely in love with this show when it was on. I practically peed my pants laughing every episode, and it was when I completely fell in love with NPH, as I had never watched Doogie Howser. I was completely heartbroken when it got canceled and have been so disappointed that the rest of the world seemed to have forgotten about it. Well, I finally did some digging and found someone had bootlegs of it on ioffer and I snatched them up. I watched the first two tonight and they're as good of quality as anyone could ask for. I'M SO HAPPY. :D :D :D I <3 NPH! (No seriously, they were showing episodes of HIMYM on the plane, and I was dozing in and out of sleep and didn't have my headphones in, but when I woke up and looked up a the TV screen, I'm pretty sure I squeed, "I love you, Neil Patrick Harris!" out loud.) But yeah, did anyone else watch/remember this show??

And ZOMG JASON MRAZ IS TOURING NORTH AMERICA!!! Tickets go on pre-sale on Wednesday. At least they should... I can't find the Boston show online. That one will be perfect since that weekend I have to be in at DSP in Boston anyway for LEAD. I might buy tickets to the 10/10 show in NYC anyway... we'll see. Anyone want to come with??

Also, Jim Breuer is coming to the Funny Bone in a few weeks! \o/
foreverseenstar and I already have tickets. <3

Oh, and things that might actually be important? Got that check from the insurance company. I'm so glad to have all that figured out, but depositing it was kind of bittersweet. Also, I'm done with my last prerequisite for nursing school. I finished my last exam tonight. I got a packet in the mail of all the stuff I need to do in the next few months (ordering uniforms, getting physicals, CPR certification) and so Wednesday I go to catch up on the 180232 vaccines I'm overdue for. Joy!

Okay, I should attempt to get back on east coast time and go to bed. Later, skaterz.
