I'm such a mother-hen! I took Tippy, my kitten with the nerve damage (for those who remember), to the vet this morning to be spayed. Yeah, I know, spaying is so routine that vets can do it in their sleep. But I started biting my nails about an hour ago, waiting for them to call and tell me she's awake. I think I'm more anxious than I usually am about this kind of thing because of the nerve damage on the left side of her face and because she's so small for her age (5 lbs and 8 months old). Course, since I started bottle feeding her 8 times a day when she was 2 weeks old, a lot of it may just be that I'm so overly protective of her.
Update: Tippy is awake and coming home in two hours. *happy smile*
A pic of my baby. You can see the nerve damage on the left side of her face. Her ear won't stand up, her eye stays wide open, her lip is drawn up, and her head stays tilted. But she's still adorable to me.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
