Time to move on...
I'm finally doing it. It still hasn't sunk in 100% and won't until I'm on the road tomorrow morning, but I take another step forward in my life's journey.
Tomorrow morning I move to St Louis, starting my new job on Tuesday. Even though I just recently moved to Todd's, the timing was good with the new position. My last day at work at Nightingale was today - and as much as I've enjoyed my time there (with all its highs and lows), it was time to move on to bigger and better things. Starting a new position is always nerve wracking - doubly so when it's in a completely different city. But, this does put me a few hours closer to my family in Wisconsin which is a definite bonus (and one of the reasons I wanted to move to St Louis in the first place).
It'll definitely be hard saying goodbye to Kansas City and all my friends here, but I'm sure I will see them again at conventions and what-not, not to mention the trips I'll be taking back here to spend time with Todd, and to see Katy and Klondike who aren't making the move just yet. The plan is once Todd gets his house sold to look for a house in St Louis, so I'm renting a small apartment and saving up as much as possible until then. So in less than 24 hours I'll be in the new place, although I won't have internet access until Monday at the earliest. Whee for new things!
