Modest Mouse's album "We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank" is the best album for walking across town on a rainy spring day, when you happen to have smoked four bowls of pretty good weed. Especially "Parting of the Sensory" for when the wind happens to pick up and the song begins to explode towards the end, "Someday you will die somehow and someone or something will steal your carbon..."
I also had an epiphany on this walk home, while listening to Parting of the Sensory. I was cutting through the skatepark. I was walking down the middle of the road which is deserted in the winter. And I stopped and I just stared at the grey clouds intermingling with the sun and I realized I enjoy where my life is. I complain about it recently, but mostly, I like where I'm at when I'm not only noticing the bad things. I have noticed my confidence and social skills have improved quite a bit. I am more outgoing again. I am happier.
