SPN Big Bad Speculation

So to avoid cranky ranting about CW and their bait and switch in scheduling, I thought I'd put down a theory I have about possibly who the new SPN big bad is going to be....

( Merely speculation but possibly spoilery )

I of course could be way off and the new Big Bad will end up being another demon or angel of some kind. Or something else entirely. I'm still getting a feel for the new storytelling pace on the show, but I think Tiamat fits what info we've got so far.

Guess we'll find out next week how right or wrong I am. :)

I really like this idea. If the Big Bad isn't Tiamat, I think I'm going to have to use her in a fic because it's too awesome not to.

It would. :) I'm super stoked that they're doing a dragon at any rate -- dragons are one of my favourite mythological creatures ever. :D

See, and my biggest squee moment ever would be if they brought in the Gnostic cosmology of the archons. Particularly if they go with the (slightly more heretical) approach of using the Samael mythology and what with Satan now out of the picture, I could see the other Archons thinking it was go time.

Of course, I'd be hoping for a last minute assist from Sophia, but then she's always been my favorite.

I'm also still wondering what they're going to do with the Raphael stuff - with Crowley gone (and I had figured he'd be the big bad) now I'm eyeing Raphael curiously. Wonder if we'll get a new Morning Star. Hell, if they hadn't already kind of hinted that Chuck was Jesus, I would think they were going to go super-heretical and draw a correlatoin between Lucifer and Jesus (light bearer, anyone?)

I don't think Raphael is going to be the new big bad -- it just feels like while he's a player, he doesn't have all the pieces any more than any of the others do. And, Tiamat or not, I really do hope that they step out of the demon-angel judeo christian realm for the new big bad -- just to shake things up a bit.
