2012 Wishlist
Yay! I'm so excited that it's Wishlist time again. I'm heading out this week to get stamps and holiday cards so I can do some wishlist-fulfilling of my own. :D Until then, why not have a look at my list of wishes for 2012? ^-^
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. Give your animals some lovin'! It seems silly, I know, but it makes me so upset when I see people own animals and never seem to give them attention. Spoil 'em a little. ;)
2. Christmas cards/care packages/anything handwritten. Fanfiction or your favorite quotes, anything. I really love getting things in the mail that aren't junk and it puts such a huge smile on my face when I find a card in the mail just for me. :D
3. Supernatural magazine issues. I'd been a subscriber when it first came out, but when I renewed something didn't take and it never happened. And all the copies I did own got destroyed when it rained and water leaked through the roof into the garage where I'd been storing them. :'(
4. Fanfiction. I adore when a fic is written with me in mind.
Supernatural (slash or gen) - hurt!Sam and Sam/Gabriel are definite faves of mine. :D
SPN RPS - J2, Jared/JDM, Jared/RSJ, etc.
Smallville - Clex
Harry Potter (slash or gen) - Harry-centric, Harry/Ron, Drarry, hurt!Harry is a fave of mine. I like my fave characters hurt and then comforted afterwards, LOL
5. Wallpaper/desktop backgrounds. I love having nice backgrounds on my desktop and it's even better when I know the background is something that was made for me. It's something to brighten my day whenever I sign on. Sam Winchester, Sam/Gabriel, Harry Potter, Clex. Anything, really.
6. Art for any of my fics. It's such a great feeling when someone does art or makes a podfic for one of my fics.
7. A writing sprints partner. Really. I haven't written in months and part of it is me being unmotivated. I had a friend online who I used to sprint with all last year. We kept each other motivated and had fun, but she distanced herself from fanfiction and LJ overall months ago. I was doing fine for a while on my own, but since May I've had trouble writing more than a couple hundred words a month. It might help to have someone writing with me that I can help motivate as much as they're helping me. :D
8. To be able to go to Disneyland sometime in the next year. I haven't been in years and I would love to visit the happiest place on earth again.
9. To hopefully find a job so I can help out around here. (I can wish, lol)
10. Anything from my Amazon Wishlist (or my Amazon Books Wishlist). And/or any gifts cards (movie theaters, best buy, barnes&noble, etc.)
