Well after a weekend of disembowelingthe front of the car I hope to have found much to my delight that the thermostat is mullared! The rubber on the stat its self is perished and half of the gasket was missing. The same size and length as what I found within the system! I've flushed the coolant in the car forcing a good 10 liters through in the hope of ejecting the foreign debris, lets just hope its out! Now I'm waiting upon a gasket arriving from the uk and a new bullion thermostat from japan.. Oh this will be interesting which will arrive first? the larger item from the other side of the world or the piece of rubber from the UK
Place your bets now! :D
Billion thermostat: Opens at 71 degree's - this should help keep the hot running rotary a little cooler.
