So my hair used to have a tiny amount of wave in it that about 10 minutes after waking up would be gone completely. Then it was stick straight. I remember trying to get a perm in the 80's and having to have the rollers heat set because the chemicals alone weren't enough. Pregnancy changed all that. Now my hairs are pretty wavy almost curly.

My hair has gotten curlier over the years too! It's REALLY weird because I used to get it permed when I was a young'en. (15-25 maybe?) I wanted curly hair but it was just kinda wavy. I stopped blow drying my hair straight this year for the first time since that period because of the tendonitis in my hand and.............I HAVE SPIRAL FREAKING CURLS DUDE. I use Redken Ringlet and a little CHI oil and the diffuser - and SPIRAL FREAKING CURLS. WHERE DID THEY COME FROM???????????? My hairdresser, who I've had since the last perm (!!!), can *NOT* believe it either. I saw her yesterday and my hair was pulled back but curly and she was shocked. When I follow that routine, my hair wouldn't be any curlier if I got a perm at this point. You should get some of that Ringlet stuff and try it out. It keeps your curls soft - not crunchy - and REALLY works to bring out maximum curl. Blow dry your hair upside down with the diffuser on it - just kind of pile the hair right on top of the diffuser and let sit for a minute, move on to the next area, etc. (It takes like half the time it took me to blow dry it straight, which is also nice.) You might be shocked what you get. lol

I don't think my hair has seen a blowdyer since the last time I got a haircut, just after Erik was born. o.O I need a haircut. LOL

I will definitely check out the Redken Ringlet! They don't test on animals, do they? I'm using Tresamme products right now because they're the only ones I've found that don't. But then, I usually get hair stuff at Target. Haha

They say no:

4. Does Redken test on animals?

We confirm that REDKEN, part of the L'Oréal Group, has carried out no animal testing on its entire range of products since 1989.

I can find some Redken products at regular stores like CVS, etc. but I've never seen the Ringlet stuff there. At least not around these parts. It still works with air-drying, I just don't the massive height like with the diffuser. Diffusing is pretty easy though. I sit on the toilet and read a book on the iPad while I'm doing it. MULTI TASKING WIN. lol

LOL That might work if I were EVER allowed to go to the toilet by myself. Add on top of that, the hairdryer is like a magnet for kids. Haha.

I'm sure Ulta has it, and I'm in there fairly regularly for OPI stuff.

Technically speaking, I'm not allowed to go to the toilet by myself either but it's easier to fend off cats vs. kids. lol

It can lead to some funny times though because if Maggie is in there with me she BEGS AND BEGS to be let into the hamper because she likes hiding but then sometimes I forget she's in there napping and one of us will go in there later, sit down, and out of the blue SOMETHING FURRY PATS YOUR DAMN LEG and you have a heart attack for a second before you realize it's just her. lol (There is a hole where your hand goes to open the hamper top. She can reach through it but the hamper is solid wood so she can't actually lift it herself to get out.) She's so damn quiet when she's stuck in a closet or whatever so I probably shouldn't let her go in there at all but she *LOVES* sleeping in hidey holes.

Lokai has a bit of that. I have to be pretty careful not to shut closet doors if I suspect she was anywhere around when I opened them. For such a huge cat, she can be remarkably sneaky.
