Wherein my household becomes a bit more modern.
My husband is out right now buying us a new TV. A flatscreen, LCD 40" wide very pretty one with a new stand to match. His father, at the end of their visit, gave us $500 for a new TV. I guess he got tired of watching our 26" CRT model that we've had since college. Without his seed money, we'd have kept that TV until it died. But since it still works, and only has one area of a slight greenish cast that we joke is where the lead coating has dissolved we'll sell it in the neighborhood garage sale.
