You know, it really pisses me off, when authors use this sort of, "And suddenly, the hero becomes a complete idiot for a few hours!" type ploy to push a plot forward. Shouldn't editors be watching for weak shit like that in published works?
Then again, with the direction the world is going (that being, "towards the absolute lowest common denominator, in every facet of everything, ever, Amen...") it really shouldn't surprise me that the written word would follow the lead that movies and TV took years ago.
I'm certainly not impressed, however.
In other news, I work, and sleep, and read, and not much else. Someone, kill me, please.
