Tue. Aug 7:
Pilates: 2 full sets bent knee, 2 full sets straight legged (non-intermittent)
Stomach arm and leg raises: metered sets for opposite lifting and superman (non-intermittent)
Over/under back exercise: 1 full set in butterfly position (non-intermittent)
Biking: 12 miles, approx. 1 hour 10min (intermittent)
Well, the inflammation in my left foot that stopped my last attempt at daily exercise has popped up again, accompanied by stiffness in my entire front torso and neck from yesterday's inversion exercises. Luckily, I already have my ankle brace out and in use, but I might stay away from jogging for a couple of days.
I didn't even really think about it, but tonight was the first time that I have used my bike to go to a specific location for a specific purpose in a very long time. Part of that is that I don't have a bike lock right now, but the other part is that I'm way too dependent on my car to go to places I am perfectly capable of reaching on a bike, so long as I plan enough travel time beforehand, which I almost never do anymore. With the evening coming on faster these days, I think I'm gonna start riding to and from my choir practices. Biking at night here is just fantastic.
