My thoughts on the recent disheartening events.

As some of you may already know, recently, an event of terrible sadness occurred. At 4pm this past Sunday a float plane crashed in the waters off Lyall Harbor on Saturna Island. Most of you are probably aware that I spend a great deal of time on Saturna Island, as my family owns a lot there. While I do not personally know any of the victims involved, I do know their friends and families. This event has hit everyone in the Saturna community incredible hard as the permanent population of the island is only about 300, as with all small towns, everyone knows everyone else in some manner.

No parent should ever outlive their children.... No family should ever have to loose a loved one so young in life... In such a manner...

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families involved in this terrible event...
