Haven't updated in quite a while. Time to pick somewhere to start?

Solo and ensemble.
After running through the song a few times at St. Matts with Mrs. Guse (she had gotten there late but that's ok), mom, Mrs. Guse, and I all piled into my box-with-wheels, and we made our way over to Franklin.
Parking was terrible.
Once I got inside, I was intimidated by all the swarms of people there. If Mrs. Guse hadn't come in with me, I would've turned around right then and there and I would've walked right out. No question, end of story.
Once we found out where we were going, we spent an awfully long time sitting in the warm-up room, and I got bored and began to randomly play songs other than Scherzino. I loved playing music from memory, it makes me look somewhat intelligent.
After a long time of waiting listening to this really good Korean flutist, I was summoned down to the performance room. On the way there, I was very surprised to see that Josh and Alex both showed up! Unfortunately, that's exactly when I started getting nervous. Eh, that's an understatement, I was a nervous wreck.
So I go into this room and perform my song in front of this judge and the small audience that I had accumulated just minutes prior. I screwed up a lot of parts that I had never messed up during practice, but apparently that's alright. I also couldn't get the high notes out because I was really nervous. So when I finished, the judge, who was a really nice lady, gave me some tips about the high notes I had completely screwed up. She also told me that I had a good tone, which made me smile despite the fact I wanted to pass out.
After a few moments of waiting outside of the performance room, a lady came out to me and gave me my score. I got a 1, and I'm going to the State Festival. I guess that's pretty good.

My foot.
I got my cast off today, and at first I was really excited about that. But then I saw my calf, which is a significant amount smaller than my other one. After that moment, I've been pretty depressed all day. On top of that, they're making me wear this stupid boot. OK, NOBODY ever said anything about me having to wear a boot. On top of my calf being super puny, now I have to hobble around in a stupid boot. The bright side is that they said "I get to take it off whenever I feel I'm ready." Guess who was experimenting with their foot during study hall :) I also went a little bit after school, which was ok until somebody let their dog loose back behind the school. That was a little nervewracking, and I soon learned that this dog in particular was fond of jumping on strangers. Yep.
I've learned that sometimes you don't appreciate things until you lose them. I love showers.

What else?
Nothing really, other than I miss cross-country, and Hines, which I still visit on occasion.
I'll update again I don't know when. See ya.
