The Socorro KFC is closing for good soon. Probably Tuesday. The call from the marketroids above was to remodel the building to look trendy and the answer from the local owner was no. The Taco Bell across the street will probably become a Chicken Bell and consequently the KFC food will be garbage compared to what it was.
