DEMAND DEMOCRACY

America Demands Democracy

Dear fellow concerned citizens, activists, and defenders of democracy,

In the past two presidential elections, we Americans watched as
questionable to outright fraudulent voting practices took place at the
eleventh hour in the "undecided" states of Florida and Ohio,
respectively.
It is essential that we as American citizens do not
allow this to happen again in 2008.
With this historical precedent in
mind, we are calling for all states, especially swing states, to take
leadership in developing a proactive plan of action to demand our
votes be counted.
We would like to share with you the simple action
plan that Colorado Demands Democracy has developed in the event that
voter disenfranchisement is so powerful that it affects the outcome of
the election.
We will be organizing protests in a central area in
each major city on the morning of November 5th, and these groups will
then convene at the Colorado Secretary of States Office in the capitol
city that afternoon.
Based upon the facts of voter fraud that arise
specifically in our state, we will assemble a list of demands to the
Colorado Secretary of State, with the overarching goal that Colorado
take whatever time necessary to ensure that the democratic process
outlined in the Constitution of the United States of America is
adhered to fully.
If these demands are not agreed upon, Colorado
Demands Democracy will then decide what form of nonviolent direct
action will be taken.

We strongly encourage every other state to develop a plan that allows
the people to affectively Demand Democracy, instead of allowing the
current political apparatus to decide for us.
Because of the short
amount of time before the election, we encourage you to use whatever
parts of our plan of action may be useful to you in your state.
In
this way, it is our hope that we Americans are all prepared to demand,
as one people, that we are no longer willing to allow the American
democratic process to be hijacked.
It is our sincere hope that all
Americans who value freedom and democracy will join us if the
situation on the morning of November the 5th demands action.

In Solidarity,
Colorado Demands Democracy

Election Day Voter Fraud Techniques
1.
Minority disenfranchisement- There has been rumors circulating of
claims about citizenship investigation at polling places that are not
true.
The appearance of people ostentatiously videotaping voters in
line, or wearing official-looking uniforms, sometimes including
sidearms, is another widely used tactic.

Native Americans in other states have also reported intimidation;
allegations include poll workers copying down license plate numbers
and following voters home.

Be aware of racial profiling in challenges from election judges.

2.
College student disenfranchisement- States have been known to
challenge the voting status of university students, claiming they
aren't legal residents of the college town.
You are with your student
ID.

3.
Visible Ballot flaws- Check the front and back of your paper
ballot, there should be no overlapping circles and words.

4.
Challenges to voter eligibility- - Many voters are still being
flagged as ineligible for a mired of reasons.
Many innocent people
(mostly minorities) are being unfairly told they cannot vote on the
ground that they are a felon
-Felon disenfranchisement- Because of disproportionate drug law
enforcement, as many as 1 in 8 black men nationwide is excluded from
the political process.

5.
Flawed technology- Voting machine malfunction- In the past, voting
machines have come up short on votes, with negative votes for a
candidate, and have been witnessed in this election already to visibly
switch votes from one candidate to another.
In one precinct in South
Carolina 80% of their voting machines had failed.

6.
Mailing mishaps- A great many voters have been disenfranchised
through improper addresses, or posting on mail in ballots in the past.

In the past, if letters are returned to sender, the voter's
eligibility has then been challenged at polling locations further
clogging the voting process.

-Follow your mail in ballot electronically to make sure it was counted
correctly and not discarded, as has been known to happen to Democratic
voters in the past.

- Foreclosed homes may block voters from voting in this election.
We
all know how massive that number is. This is illegal.

7.
Some high offices up for reelection are illegally being placed at
the bottom of the ballot.
Your ballot must read like this:
(a) Candidates for national office;
(b) Candidates for statewide office;
(c) Candidates for state district office;
(d) Candidates for legislative office;
(e) Candidates for countywide office;
(f) Candidates for county district office.

8. "No match, No vote" This issue keeps on surfacing.
Voters whose
names are not represented on their ID as the exact names on the
registration are being turned away.
Example: Bill Smith would be
turned away if his ID says William Smith.
