Update
So, school starts for me on September 9th, it's my senior year and I'm really excited!
Anyway, my summer has been pretty lazy, tv, computer, food, more tv, more computers, meet with friends, eat more food, somewhat halfheartedly cleaning my house
Yesterday I sat down and watched the entire Kanon series, all 24 episodes, it was pretty good, my favorite character was Sayuri (is that her name?) the one that speaks in third person, my favorite line was when she was talking to Mei and said something like "You and Sayuri should go ..." I've never heard third person used like that, it was funny! I also liked Shiori though, but I thought Nayuki was a bit of a pointless character, I mean someone needed to be in her position she just wasn't the right personality for it, and I didn't like how Mei was really so weak either (after a few hours of the anime I started analyzing it). Overall it was better then Air (although I cried a lot during Air) I didn't actually cry to Kanon - having a good ending really helps - but I was really pissed when the whole Makoto arc came up, it's like Key just can't let a visual novel/anime have no deaths huh? Grr... fortunately I wasn't too fond of Mako anyway.
I also went to Half Price Books last weekend and I'm still so happy! I hit a $1 bargain bin and got 27 manga for under $30 :) I'm going back tomorrow to see if they have any others there. What's best is I didn't just get crappy manga, I got a few that I actually would have paid full price for (W Juliet 10-12, Genbu Kaiden 1 + 5) and a few others I was quite pleased with, and I tried a couple new series, like Decendants of Darkness (which I didn't like - to confusing), and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne which I haven't started yet. I also got a couple volumes of Ouran and the first two of Night Of The Beasts and vols. 5 + 6 of Tenshi Ja Nai which I've already read but liked a lot :)
I'm also excited to read Black Bird and Kimi no Todoke so maybe I'll pick one up tomorrow, I'm going to see Ponyo with my friends, and I'm trying to convince one of my friends go with us, but she thinks she's too normal to go with us crazy people (my friends and I do tend to be a little loud/insane/shameless when we're together)
So tomorrow I'll post an opinion of Ponyo!
