this weekend we went over to our german teacher's house. it was very big and pretty and it smelled like apples. we watched 'der tunnel' which was based on the true story about this team of friends who built a tunnel under the berlin wall to sneak their families from east germany into west berlin. one of them was an olympic swimmer who dug most of the tunnel and one was an architect who planned it. they smuggles like 20 something people through the tunnel which is kind of amazing. i think most people would enjoy it.
she cooked us bratwurst as promised and this couple in the class who is vegan brought vegan potato salad and guacamole. this other guy brought a ton of beer. i made cupcakes in those silicone baking cups. they were wonderful! i wonder, if you were allergic to silicone and you ate a cupcake baked in one of those, would you die? is this possibly the perfect murder? is barack obama allergic to silicone? don't eat the cupcakes, barack! even thought they're cute as a button!
