Some proofreading is more tricky than others. I've been checking stuff like this today:

... since Sunday 5 pm. The last gasp of Ike decided to surprise us, and suddenly living in an area with a lot of trees isn't such a great idea! No trees on the house or those of friends and immediate neighbors, but there are a lot down around about. We have everything except power - many around don't have water, so we are very lucky.
