Another Fighting Game Post
The opening movie to Soulcalibur III is very sweet indeed. It makes up for any nit-picking I might do about the changes from Soulcalibur II.
Plus, not only is my favorite character in it, he's been made pretty much the protagonist in the game. And if my ears don't deceive me, it sounds like he has the same awesome voice actor from before, despite my fears that his VA would be reassigned to someone less suitable. I like it when characters sound like they're supposed to!
As an aside, is it just me, or do fighting games have the most inscrutable stories ever? Maybe it comes from trying to pack a lot of exposition into character profiles and battle dialogue, but sometimes it's hard to remember who's fighting who, where, when, and why. And don't even get me started on mutually-exclusive character endings...
