Some IRL stuff

So, a lot of things have been happening lately. Where to start...

Last Friday (that's a week and a few days ago), I went to a movie with a friend I haven't seen in about a year. This friend (who I shall call Zain) lives pretty far away, so we've kept up with IM. It was sort of strange, seeing him again after so long, but it soon felt natural. He's so funny and spastic, and creative; really easy to be around. During the movie (National Treasure 2), we couldn't keep from adding our own commentary, things like "Don't turn the water wheel - you'll summon the Kraken!" or, "The part where he lights the torches reminds me of Legend of Zelda, where you light torches to open doors and stuff". I wasn't sure how my parents would react to him, but turns out they found him hilarious ;D

Then, yesterday, my sister and cousin had a joint baby shower - that is, the shower was joint (they're having separate babies). Whenever we have an event, it means 50 million relatives in our small house. Crazy.

Today, Zain actually came with us to church, and actually really enjoyed our pastor. He's thinking about listening to the sermon podcasts - that is, once his Internet is working again...

On a completely different note, I finally pre-ordered Crisis Core. A little longer and it wouldn't have been a "pre" order; it's hard to believe the release date is coming up so fast. I'm getting really excited. Only problem is, I won't be able to play it right away, because I don't have enough yet for a PSP :( I guess it sounds stupid to buy a game you can't play, but I figure the PSP price will continue to drop as I save up for it. The main issue I have is, I know that within a day of release, all the sites I visit will have detailed information plastered all over. So, I'm wondering whether to just avoid them for awhile, or to just be careful, or to give up trying not to be spoiled. I don't mind knowing something about the game; I want some parts to still be new when I play them.
