CONGRATULATIONS HARIMAU MUDA!!
This post is dedicated to all Malaysians, who keep on praying for the team’s victory for the final match between neighbour countries, Malaysia(Harimau Muda) and Indonesia(Garuda). And also to HarimauMuda team and the rest of Malaysia athletes to 26th SEA Games 2011.
For the record, this was the 2nd match between those two countries for this 26th SEA Games 2011. They’ve met for the first time in the inter-group match, the qualification game to the semi-finals. Malaysia won over Indonesia by 1-0 score. This lead Malaysia to grab the #1 spot in Group A. And once again, as expected, they met during final match after winning the semi final matches where Malaysia won over Myanmar by 1-0 and Indonesia won over Vietnam by 4-0.
By winning this match, it’s been the 2nd consecutive times for Malaysia to bring the Gold medal back for football/soccer in SEA Games.
It’s a tough game. Both teams keep on fighting the whole time, causing the unsettle feelings among the fans themselves. The game lasted for almost 3 hours. The 1-1 score maintained till the 98th minute, leading to an additional time game of 32 minutes, still maintaining the 1-1 score.
The winner then being determined through penalty kicks from both teams. Malaysia won the game with 4 to 3 PKs.
Their hard works paid off. Despite being in the worst situation ever, they didn’t give up, just like the fans here in Malaysia.
