Rent
OMG. Anyone who is a fan of the music from Rent has to go see the movie. I've never seen the musical in person, but I love the soundtrack. I got a free movie pass to go see a preview of it for tonight. Chris and I went to go see it and it was amazing. They did a great job putting it together. I won't give anything away, but the incorporated the songs so flawlessly into the movie. It doesn't follow the soundtrack to a T or anything, but it was so well done I didn't care. Now I REALLY want to see it on stage, just so I can compare. I know the movie doesn't even hit the theatres until next week, but I can't wait until it hits video. Oh, and for anyone interested, they only changed two of the actors for the main characters from the original Broadway cast. Very smart move on the casting director's part.
