Just thought I'd give ya'll a heads up...
I am not very excited to report this news, but in less than a month... on November 22nd... (the day BEFORE Thanksgiving)... I'll be hanging out in the hospital, having my tonsils cut out of my throat! BOOOO!
that means, no turkey, no red cabbage salad, no home made apple pie, no fruit salad, probably no scalloped corn, and MAYBE some mashed potatos.
on the upside, lots of ice cream, pudding, applesause, mashed potatoes and jello.. well that's really all of the soft foods i like.
but hopefully this horrible ruining of my 3rd favorite holiday (my birthday/halloween, christmas, thanksgiving....) will mean i'll have energy to do something besides lay in my bed when i get home from work. i won't spend weekends sick and crying because i've used up EVERY ounce of my energy during the week at work doing my best to be a good therapist and then, in the end, spend the weekends without a social life and sick because my body gives out...
so that's what i've got for you.
oh. and i have the "athena" song stuck in my head. it's by the who, and horrible and it's fabulous at the same time. :)
