So...here's the update on my end of things.
- I applied to work at the Apple Store, and am at this moment awaiting a phone screening from the Glendale location. Now, I don't actually WANT to work in Glendale, but it would be rude to not talk to them at least. I also am scheduled to go to a hiring seminar at their Santa Monica store on Thursday, September 4, so that will be awesome.
- Our front passenger tired went flat yesterday, and I spent a small amount of time changing it to the doughnut spare. I'll have to head over to the tire store this afternoon to have it fixed or replaced. Darn it. (Heh, freudian slip, I actually typed "tired" store, because that's how frickken tired I am).
- I sold 20 out of the 50 eBay items I put up last Sunday for a nice profit of about $80. Melissa is happy that a) I'm making some money and b) there's less junk in the house. The highlight item was my Family Guy Original Sketch Card of Stewie which sold for $30. As much as I loved FG during it's initial run, I feel that the show has gone too long now, and is no longer as funny as it once was. I still watch it with a passion, as I do all of the Fox Cartoons on Sunday, but I'm no longer obsessed. That said, I do still want the Stewie and Bertram Action Figures from that one episode where they were in Sperm Space Ships.
- We're going Camping again this weekend to Wheeler Gorge, though we don't have reservations, I think we're winging it, because the campground isn't taking reservations for most of the spots.
- Our favorite band Barenaked Ladies hasn't had the best Summer. Though they released a great kids album called Snacktime (available on iTunes and other places) and did a cool book-signing/concert tour for the release (which I DID get to attend), they've had some personal problems. First Steven Page got arrested for possession of Cocaine in New York a couple of months ago, THEN Ed Robertson got into a plane crash this last weekend. Ed is, of course, a licensed pilot and even has a show about his air travel on OLN. He and his passengers are all fine fortunately, but you know that adage about rock stars and plane travel. If not, go out and rent Almost Famous.
- Miss Kaylee Bean is doing fine, growing like a weed and entering the terrible twos a bit early. If you're keeping track she'll be 23 months on September 5, so that means her big TWO YEAR BIRTHDAY is in October! Our theme this year should be "Wow Wow Wubbzy" which is her current favorite TV show.
So that's it, there's the update.
Any more information is on a need to know basis, and you just don't need to know.
