(no subject)
so it looks like i am going to have an internship at this "underground" (a word that i feel must be put in quotations, lest i give it that label of being no more than hip, which is all it usually describes) newspaper in flint, the uncommon sense (theuncommonsense.com). it is unclear what i'll be doing there, but writing for sure. it is a sort of lefty-oriented, metro-timesy type free paper, except that it is located in flint, so it has less clubs, theaters, etc to report on, and is as a result less entertainment-oriented. we'll see what will come of it.
other songs that should have been on that list a couple of posts ago:
radiohead- "true love waits," "motion picture soundtrack"
fiona apple- nearly anything off of the new album. i like it a great deal.
dave matthews- i've been listening to the "christmas song" the past few days. i remember how much i liked that song when i first heard it, and still do. i am not a very big dmb fan these days, but live at luther college would still be on a top ten album list, as it is excellent.
