He’s jolted awake when the yelling starts. It’s gotten worse the last few weeks and he blames the sister he’s supposed to be getting. He closes his eyes and wishes for the fighting to stop but it doesn’t and after awhile he gives up on wishing all together. When the front door slams he climbs out of bed and hurries to the window. He watches as his dad climbs into a cab and rides away. Even though he’s known this moment was coming its kind of scary to know that he’s got to be the man of the family now.
