Buongiornio de Italia!

Ciao, belli! I have been having the most amazing time here a quarter of the world away. I've seen medieval towers, walled cities, basilica after basilica and church after church (the italians clearly love their churches). The landscape here in tuscany is nothing short of breathtaking, and I'm positive each hilltop has provided a better view than the last. The villa in which I'm staying is probably the most beautiful space I've ever been in, in one of the most serene and remote hilltops in italy. We're a walk away from a small town by the name of Monsano, a place out of time where everybody knows everybody and "mia casa" truly is "vostra casa". The people here have been hospitable and helpful, and I've picked up a little italian, which has helped me immensely in getting around. I've had some great food and some very good wine. I've seen great art and imposing architecture and have run some truly challenging trails. Although I can't wait to get back, I can't stand to leave. I hope everyone is well! Miss you all.

Arrivaderci!

PS: The Statue of David is the most incredible thing I've ever seen.
