Hi everyone.
If by chance you are at all interested in my writing, this is one of the more creative assignments I have recently done for English class.

A sophisticated Night on the Town`
The red gates open as artificial sunlight illuminates the setting for the evening. Groups of temporary residents mill about on their familiar territory in choreographed mayhem; their outfits are portraying another time and place. An undercurrent of sound carries to the tenants, and they become completely enveloped in their surrounding atmosphere. They create their own sights, sounds and smells to solidify their connection to the setting.
The sonic underscore develops into a melody, now strengthened by harmonies with unnerving coordination. Then, in perfectly rehearsed fashion, the patricians of this world are introduced. A god of light’s white ray of glory shines down on each one, as their declarations of importance are proclaimed with vigour. Those less important have since given way.
A plot is establishes itself as more is learnt about the characters, and their aspirations. Invisible forces determine the environment as the otherworldly individuals undertake their adventures. Unsettling situations and complex compositions of compelling accomplishment sustain the interest of those watching.
Then, in a final statement of humanity, the story ends. The gates close, and a cacophonous blanket of praise encompasses the theatre. The gates open again, but the old world and its inhabitants have disappeared, exposing the familiar faces of glorified peers. The mass of vicarious onlookers slowly file out to congratulate the special people, who were the entertainment for the night.
