4a. Three positive adjectives to describe yourself: Loyal, friendly, and inquisitive.
4b. Three negative adjectives to describe yourself: Easily angered, opinionated to a fault, and moody.
5. If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you go, and why?: Oh, gosh. That is a very good question! I think ultimately I would like to live in London for a year. I am fascinated by its history -- well, really, British history in general -- and just think it's one of the most beautiful places. You can also get to other places (i.e. Oxford, York, etc.) easily enough from there. Having afternoon tea meshes with my style very nicely, and I even think Starbucks coffee tastes better over there (this coming from a Seattle native). Of course, Starbucks tastes really good in Spain, believe it or not. But ANYWAYS. I love how London can be incredibly busy, but then you can walk into Hyde Park and just hear absolute silence. It's as though the world around you has disappeared. You don't hear the traffic, the horns, the ... anything. It's just quiet. And green. :-)
6. Explain the significance/meaning/origin of your username: Well ... I'm a Lord of the Rings freak, and happened upon one of those Elvish Name Generators ... and Inwë Telemmaitë came up when I did it. I thought it was pretty, so I kept it. :)
7. What's your favourite holiday, and why?: Ohh ... what a question. It changes with every holiday that comes. ;-) No, I'd have to say Christmas. I love the decorations, the sights, the smells, the lights ... I always feel very cozy during the Christmas season -- not to mention I love cold weather. Also, it's a particularly important holiday for me as a Christian.
8. Favourite three books (besides Harry Potter): Hmm ... can I count series? Narnia (esp. The Silver Chair), Lord of the Rings (esp. Fellowship of the Ring), and the Bible.
9. What is or was your favourite and or best subject in school? My favorite (and, conveniently, best) subject in school was history, with languages being a close second. I was a European Studies major in college so this was a wonderful combo for me. It also made sure I didn't have to focus too much on one subject and therefore get sick of it. I need variety. ;-)
10. If you could ask JKR one question, what would it be? Oh, the decisions! Well, having read Book 6 and surmising a lot about Ron and Hermione (w00t!), I'd then just have to ask her, "Are you going to kill off Harry in Book 7?"
11. Which of the Harry Potter books thus far was your favourite, and why?: Half-Blood Prince was definitely my favorite. I thought it was the best-written, and certain plot developments (namely Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione ... progressing) made me exceedingly happy. I always get emotional at the end, too. I think the last, like, 50 pages represent some of the best-written fiction out there.
12. If you could have the power to perform one spell, and only one spell, absolutely flawlessly for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? Eek! Umm ... *thinks fast* "Expecto Patronum" would be pretty snazzy. Maybe I'm just paranoid, especially since ... well ... I have yet to see a dementor ... but it'd be nice to be able to protect myself and others when necessary.
13. What House do you honestly think you’d end up in, and why?: Ravenclaw, because I'm "s-m-r-t" (sorry, couldn't resist!). I'm very studious and inquisitive; I love to learn, and like to think I'm witty (or at least sarcastic).
14. Are you willing to accept cross-gendered votes/stamps?: Sure, why not? :-) The two other stamps I've gotten (for Narnia & LOTR) are actually for guys ...
15. Anything else we should know?:
16. Please post at least three clear pictures of yourself: (In the last one I'm the one on the right.)
