5. If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you go, and why?: Paris, France. I had the privilege of visiting Paris for two weeks last year as part of a student exchange and I fell in love with the city. It's the most beautiful place in the world. I feel so inspired there, so connected to that city...I can't explain it too well, but I feel so alive there. I'm hoping to live there someday, even if it is for a short period of time.
6. Explain the significance/meaning/origin of your username: It's supposed to be "whispersatmidnight" but I couldn't fit the whole name in, so I had to abbreviate it somewhat. Whispers At Midnight is a name that popped into my head while I was still in high school, and I immediately thought it would make a great band name. I have no musical talent so unfortuantely I cannot use it for that, and I started using it for most of my online profiles. I feel that it represents me well because I am in love with the dark side of human nature, including the night and the solitude and stillness that comes with it.
7. What's your favourite holiday, and why?: Even though I am not religious (I am agnostic, in fact), Christmas has always been an important holiday for my family. I love my family very much, and I love the opportunity to get together, exchange gifts, eat, reminisce, etc. I also love the whole spirit that surrounds Christmas. It's a very happy time of year for me, in general. I can't deny the fact that I love presents also.
8. Favourite three books (besides Harry Potter): Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite, Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice, and Voice of the Blood by Jemiah Jefferson.
9. What is or was your favourite and or best subject in school? In high school, I always loved English because all my life I've been an avid reader and writer. I adore the written word. I am not very well adept at expressing myself verbally, but I can usually put what I am thinking or feeling into words much better. I hope to be a novelist one day.
10. If you could ask JKR one question, what would it be? I would ask her how she avoids writer's block, if at all, and what she does when it strikes because this is a problem I experience often.
11. Which of the Harry Potter books thus far was your favourite, and why?: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I LOVE the Triwizard Tournament and all the action that unfolds. It is undoubtedly the whole turning point of the series, where things start to become even darker than before and Harry is finally coming into his own as a young adult. Everything is becoming much more complicated than before, and I can relate to some of the concepts and ideas. The 4th movie is also my favorite so far...I've seen it 3 times in the theater so far.
12. If you could have the power to perform one spell, and only one spell, absolutely flawlessly for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? I think I would like to be able to apparate (and disapparate, since the two go hand in hand) flawlessly because I always find myself wishing I could do so all the time. It would be wonderful to not have to use any other methods of transportation ever again, unless for personal pleasure.
13. What House do you honestly think you’d end up in, and why?: Honestly? I have no idea, but I can tell you I don't think I'd end up in Hufflepuff. I think I have characteristics of the 3 other houses, so I think it's up in the air.

15. Anything else we should know?: Music is my life, particularly industrial, darkwave, ebm, goth, ethereal, etc. Oh, and thank you for the consideration. ;)
